After years of struggle, the Virginia creeper that was planted to climb over our garden gate, has finally decided to try it.  Last fall, when its leaves began to turn scarlet, I was struck by the beauty of its turning leaves.  I took the gradient of color change, from light green to magenta, as a challenge, and I made it the subject of the last, in a trio, of really vertical canvases.
